The Christmas by the Sea Nativity Scene Light (“Contest”) begins on Friday, November 23, 2018 and ends on Monday, December 31, 2018. This Contest is sponsored by ChincoteagueChristmas.com, 4040 Main Street, Chincoteague Island, VA 23336.
To enter for a chance to win, entrants must visit our website at www.ChincoteagueChristmas.com/contest/index/ to guess how many light bulbs are featured on the Nativity Scene figures that is located outside of Christmas Manor at 7150 Piney Island Road – Chincoteague Island, VA 23336.
Odds of winning will be determined by the number of participants entries that are received. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor in all matters relating to the Contest. All decisions made by ChincoteagueChristmas.com are final.
No purchase necessary. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, directors, officers, and representatives of ChincoteagueChristmas.com, are not eligible to participate.
The GRAND Prize will be awarded in the form of a ONE night stay at the Comfort Suites – Key West Cottage located on Chincoteague Island, Virginia; and a $100.00 gift card from Bill’s PRIME Seafood & Steaks. Subject to availability and date restrictions may apply. Prize must be picked up by the winner in person at Bill’s PRIME Seafood & Steaks located at 4040 Main Street – Chincoteague Island, VA 23336. Proper identification in the form of a passport, driver’s license, or other form of government-issued picture identification must be presented to Bill’s PRIME Seafood & Steaks in order for a winner to claim a prize. All prize claims are subject to verification of winner’s eligibility. No one may claim a prize other than the winner of such prize unless proof of handicap or hardship satisfactory to Administrator in its sole discretion is provided to Bill’s PRIME Seafood & Steaks and/or Comfort Suites and the winner and his or her proxy, if applicable, execute any additional affidavits, releases or agreements that company may require. Prize may be picked up during the restaurant hours of on Monday through Sunday 6:00am – 9:00pm.
The prize is non-transferable and no prize substitution is permitted. The Person who submits the exact amount or comes close to the amount of lights bulbs in the “Nativity Scene” figure without going over will be declared the winner.
The winner will be posted on ChincoteagueChristmas.com website and our Facebook Page by January 1, 2019 and shall be available for up on that date.
By participating in the Contest or accepting a prize, entrants agree that ChincoteagueChristmas.com, and the Contest Parties (collectively, “Releasees”) will not be responsible or liable for any losses, damages, injuries or claims arising from the Contest or the award of any prize. As a condition of entering, entrants agree (and agree to confirm in writing if requested by Sponsor): (a) to forever discharge, release, and hold harmless Releasees from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or the prize, however caused; (b) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary, or consequential damages; and (c) that any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs.
EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED, BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, ENTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT IF ENTRANT WINS, ENTRANT’S NAME, STATE, AND OTHER FORMS OF LIKENESS MAY BE PUBLISHED ON SPONSOR’S PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS, WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES, AT SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION AT ANY TIME.
If the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without limitation, due to force majeure or tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, ChincoteagueChristmas.com reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the contest administration process or otherwise acts in violation of these rules, and to cancel, modify, or terminate the Contest.
